Organic Royal Quinoa

My son loves health food and qinoa is expensive, so me sending him as a gift is a great savings for him and he cooks it like rice and then adds dried fruit and walnuts, some oil and a touch of cayenne pepper.

Quinoa is a good substitute for rice and pasta. It turns to protien and fiber instead of starch, as the other two do. I tried a pound to see how I liked it and while it's a different flavor, it's not unpleasant and I've had it several ways since purchase. However not mentioned here is the fact that quinoa needs to be rinsed repeatedly before cooking or it can taste bitter.

The quinoa was not only a great product, but also had a great price. Quinoa has quickly became a pantry staple in our home, and it was great to find a company that has a good price on this healthy grain.

What a great product. I found this while researching new healthfoods. I was unable to find this product at ocal stores for less than a fortune. My local grocer sells this for around $8/lb. Easy to cook and tastes great. My 18 mo. old daughter fell in love!!! Perfect protiene!!
