Oh! Nuts Wrapped Assorted Sunsation Fruit Jellies

When I was a child, "fruit gems" were my favorite candy around. They only came in bulk stores where you'd scoop them into a bag and pay by weight, but they came in an assortment of colors of the rainbow and even contained my favorite flavor: pear, in addition to other staples like pineapple, grape, and blue raspberry.

Looking for them today, Sunkist was what I found, but I never remembered the text on those individual wrappers to have any color on them, they were just white text. The flavors were wildly off and rather limited as well. Then I found these searching on the internet. Bought a bag to try, and the flavors are much more in line with what I remember as a kid, but...a bit off. Lower quality, though I suppose that's to be expected in this day and age. Even still nostalgia hit rather hard when I tried these ones.

The problem is the flavors aren't as "clean" as they should be. There's a burning residual tang that remains after eating them, but it's still the flavors that I wanted from these jellies. I'd definitely pay more for a higher quality version. Additionally, what's pictured and what was sent to me differ in some small ways, such as shape and variety. My 1lb bag only contained 4 flavors, despite the images showing 6~8, but maybe that was just luck of the draw (one of them actually had two jammed into a single wrapper! Heheh,) and their shape was very much machine pressed with hard sharp edges instead of the rounded disc-blob shape that sunkist have.
