When I was a child the only time I was able to eat these was during and around Tu B'Shevat time. Our local bagel bakery in Oceanside also sold them around that time. Being able to get them most of the time brought back "sweet" childhood memories. I'm sure glad I can get them most of the time and I found out they are actually good for you because of their high fibre content. I'm a senior now and they are a perfect natural fibre regulator for me. All I need to do is eat one each day. Medicine doesn't have to taste bad. They are really sweet. There are other sellers on the internet that have these but Oh Nuts has the best price. That's why I'm a repeat customer. Usually I also order bulk hamantaschen from them because those bring back childhood memories of visiting and eating them at my grandmothers place in Cedarhurst and like the carob pods the price is the the best and it's really good that I can get these and other products living so far away from Long Island.
The carob pods are so yummy! They are a lot softer than I remember and I was able to eat them without gnawing hard! I’m so excited that I ordered two bags. Thank you so much for having this!
I grew up eating the carob pods straight from the tree. Now, I found them again after many many years. These pods are fresh, delicious and natural. Thank you Oh Nuts for making them available.
I grew up eating Carob Pods aka Bokser as a special Tu Bishvat Treat. Only when I was little back in the 1950's all we actually got was a small, dried, hard brown piece too dry to chew. Happily, many of these Carob Pods from Oh! Nuts taste like they were just picked and are soft to bite in to. Of course, one still has to spit out the seeds....
It would not be Tu B'Shvat without dried carob pods. I've been parceling them out, one a day, to make them last. Will order more when the supply gets low -- why wait for next year?
