Better than a candy bar

This is sugar in your mouth. Sweet and refreshing, I tried to make each dried pear last as long as I could. It was my go-to snack when I wanted something sweet without the calories of a jelly doughnut.

I really liked these. They taste very similar to how a fresh pear does. It also maintains similar consistencies of fresh pears. Obviously its a little thicker than fresh, but it is still easy to eat, not super chewy like some dried fruit are.

Your dried pears are convenient to use, with no spillage or crumbs when eaten. We know their approximate calorie count and other nutrient values, so we find it easy to regulate how much to consume at any given occasion. I do suggest that you clarify their description in the website that they have been cored and peeled, and have no fructose or corn syrup added (for diabetics looking for such necessary information). I found it necessary to call you to specifically ask those questions.

I searched at several stores in the Denver, Colorado area, but no one carried the dried pears that I needed for a special meal for my son and daughter-in-law. I had volunteered to make them several meals before my second grandson was born. One of the recipes they chose needed dried pears. So I went online and found this site. I ordered the pears and made the dish. They really liked it. Plus the pears that were left over provided a nice snack for everyone else.

I tried these for the first time and love them. The are whole slices and are so flavorful. It was almost like eatiing a fresh pear. These would be great as a pretty treat with tea or coffee for your guests or just as a snack for yourself.

I am ordering more of these this week. Wonderful to cook with, wonderful to chop and sprinkle over top a salad for a great fresh taste. Plain and simple for a snack but watch out - you cannot eat just one, or two or ... :)
